Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY ♥♥

Sorry if I broke your LJ layout ;P
But I just came back from the Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY!
It was seriously great♥
The opening song was FFVIII's Liberi Fatali and it was pretty amazing!
When the choir started singing, it gave me some slight chills :x
My memory of the order the music performed in is a bit foggy right now xD
but they consist of:(yanked from the official site) xD
----------------------------------------
FINAL FANTASY series: Main Theme, Swing de Chocobo
THe Swing de Chocobo made everyone all hyped up! The Main Theme was played before intermission and the Swing de Chocobo was played towards the end.
FINAL FANTASY I-III: Medley
I have to admit, I wasn't familiar with these music, but beautiful nonetheless!FINAL FANTASY IV: Theme of Love They actually didn't perform this, not sure why.
FINAL FANTASY V: Dear Friends
What can I say? Beautiful♥
FINAL FANTASY VI: Opera "Maria and Draco", Terra's Theme
I believe Opera "Maria and Draco" was the 3rd last piece that was played. It was also the longest one! Once it ended, the audience stood up and cheered!! The vocalists were pretty good too.
I was a bit disappointed when Terra's Theme wasn't listed on the official website, but I guess they did perform it! They performed it right after Opera "Maria and Draco" and Arnie Roth announced it as the final music to be performed for the night. I was so excited! I love the music piece even though I haven't played FFVI :x
FINAL FANTASY VII: One-Winged Angel, Opening - Bombing Mission, Aerith's Theme
One Wing Angel was the "encore", obviously! At first Arnie Roth, the conductor announced that Terra's Theme would be the last music to be performed for the night. But Nobuo Uemastu came on stage after Terra's Theme was played and said something along the lines that "We can't just leave the show without hearing this piece played."
And once the performance was over, Nobuo Uemastu came back on stage. He started singing a phrase from One Winged Angel xD I think it was "ira vehementi Sephiroth" or something. He sang/mumbled it too quick, so I only caught onto Sephiroth's name. Then he walked away from the microphone, but came back immediately and said "Arnie-roth"(conductor's name) :P
Opening - Bombing Mission was the first piece to be performed right after the intermission. And I believe Aerith's Theme was the 3rd or 4th to be performed. Maybe even 5th? I can't remeber right now, but I will always love Aerith's Theme♥
FINAL FANTASY VIII: Liberi Fatali, Fisherman's Horizon, Love Grows, Don't be Afraid
Liberi Fatali was the opening, like I had mentioned.
The lead to "Don't be Afraid" was amazing! They had the LCD screen show the scene where the party members were heading up to that Dollet Tower during the SeeD exam. And as they were running across the bridge, the battle initiated and the performers started playing the battle theme♥ I don't know if what I just described made sense, but the lead up was just hilarious.
Fisherman's Horizon was followed right after FFVII's Opening - Bombing Mission. I will always love Fisherman's Horizon too♥ The arrangement was just so beautiful :)
Love Grows was beautiful too. The LCD screen showed the FMV ending though, so it might've spoiled non-FFVIII players xD
FINAL FANTASY IX: Vamo' alla Flamenco
FFIX!♥ The piece gave the audience a good laugh too since the LCD showed that fight Zidane and Blank acted out in the beginning of the game.
FINAL FANTASY X: To Zanarkand
If memory serves right too, this was the second piece played after Liberi Fatali. This music arrangement was beautiful. Oh man, everything was beautiful xD
FINAL FANTASY XI: Memoro de la Stono - Distant Worlds, Ronfaure
The vocalist who came to sang the song wasn't as great, but she was good enough I suppose. Her voice didn't hit some notes and she was shorten of breath in one part, but if you look past those mistakes, this performance was awesome. The choir singers did a good job!
----------------------------------------
I had a really great time and I'm glad I attended the concert! Seeing Nobuo Uematsu in person was unreal! Plus both Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth let the audience choose/vote which battle music piece they will play in their next collaboration or something and by far FFVII's "J-E-N-O-V-A" had the loudest screams followed by FFVI's "Dancing Mad".
Here I am standing in front of the Orpheum Theatre:
